Accept God's Grace.

The past couple of weeks have been a spiritual and mental roller coaster for me. Do you ever find yourself critiquing everything you do in life in relation to God's glorious standards? Yes. Good, cause that means I am not alone. I found myself being over analytical about every single thing that I do but instead of it pointing me in the direction of godliness, it made me stressed. I got tired. I got tired of being analytical about every single thing I did or said because I was doing it all in my own strength. I was trying to be perfect, accepted, and loved by God based on my human efforts. I gave up. I give up the ghost lol (i love saying that).

I read this past week about God's grace because I need it more than anything right now. To my understanding from previous reading, God's grace is his goodness extended to the unworthy (us sinners). All of us have fallen short of God's glorious standard (Romans 3:23) of perfection in his sight because of sin. Sin separated us from God before we were even born but because of Jesus Christ sacrificing his life for us, were made right with him (Romans 3:24). God's grace is given FREELY, period. So, no amount of reading my bible, praying for hours on end, and "good works" will change the fact that I am saved because I believe in Jesus Christ.

Condemnation is what the enemy uses to keep us away from God.

On that note, imma take a chill pill because stressing about being "perfect" before God completely contradicts what he said about being made right by BELIEVING. So, if you find yourself being over-analytical about everything to make yourself appear worthy before God, you're wasting your time. God has already placed everything within us to live a godly life ( 2 Peter 1:3).
