How To Respond To Danger

How many times do you face a situation that leaves you nervous, fearful, and with a panic attack?

How do you respond?

Human's Method: Fight-Flight Response

Fight-Flight response is a physiological reaction that occurs in response to a perceived harmful event, attack, or threat to man's survival. In the midst of a potential threat, the human body goes into either fighting response by retaliating against the perceived danger or flight response by fleeing from the danger zone. As Christians, the word of God calls us to fight every time by resisting the enemy and fighting him with our weapon (the word of God). If your still having difficulty visioning what this looks like in real-life let's take a look at our ancestors in the faith, The Three Hebrew Boys.

The Three Hebrew Boys.

Now, this is a group of men faced with the option to either Fight or Flight from imminent danger. In the events of the three Hebrew boys, they were given the command to bow down to a false god or die. Now, what would you have down in that situation. At first, I thought why didn't they just run away? Where is Daniel? I could not imagine the chills running up and down their spine, sweaty palms and thoughts that were going through their minds at that moment when they heard the decree. I saw two opportunities for them to flight: when the decree went out and when they were before the king. It would have been nothing for the men to escape town or tell the king that they would bow. However, that ain't how the men rolled. That's not how we roll as children of God. We let the devil, opposition and anything/anyone that tries to take God's place know that we ain't scared. Not matter the situation that you are facing in your life today whether it be mental, physical, or emotional, your position is always to fight.

17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Daniel 3:17-18
