When God is silent..

Have you ever been stuck with a decision to make, and you did not know what route to take? You grow frustrated because you are so confused. You have prayed about it, sought advice and yet still you are confused about what to do. That was me this entire week. Y’all I was struggling on whether to continue in a particular area of ministry or move forward into something else. Of course, I was seeking the Lord in prayer, but I felt like I was hearing nothing from him. I sought advice from family, and they just left me with a bunch of opinions and confusion (good advice but still it ain’t hit like it was supposed to). This past week, I cried a lot of unnecessary tears, received a lot of opinions but at the end of the day I got guidance. I want to share with you a piece of tip whenever you get to this point like I have this week.

Walk by Faith

Yes, buss a faith step! This week I experienced so much confusion because I was waiting on the Lord to give me some “grand” answer on what I should be doing. I was just afraid of making the wrong move and knew that God could give specific direction/instructions on what I should be doing in this season. But let me tell y’all something...God will go silent just so you can walk by faith. For example, look at the story of Job. Job had everything stripped from him: family, house, and nearly lost his life. At first, I wondered why God would continue to allow Satan to touch his servant but then I thought, “God knew that the enemy was looking to take away Job’s faith something that Job possessed a great deal of.” Job walked in faith majority of his journey until he began to question God in the silence. The silence became deafening. Job began to question why all these trials and problems were happening to him. That is when we see God speak. God stepped in when Job’s faith began to waver. That tells us that God was not only aware of Job’s discomfort and hardships, but God was in the midst. When God is silent, it is on you to hold onto your faith and take a step of faith. No matter what that step looks like for you just know that God is involved in every detail of your life.

The Lord makes firm the steps

of the one who delights in him;

though he may stumble, he will not fall,

for the Lord upholds him with his hand.

Psalms 37:23-24
